LIFE IS SIMPLE, ENJOY IT IN FULL !

It is said that being and remaining simple is really beautiful and very encompassing. Living a simple life gives you peace, prosperity and happiness. Leo Tolstoy says, “There can’t be any greatness and excellence where there is no simplicity, goodness and honesty.” Just think, who knows you better who you are?  Then what is the fun in showing off what you are not and in the process make your own life unnecessarily complex and miserable.  Confucius also says, “Life is really simple, but we tend to make it complex.”

Since our childhood, we have been listening about a famous saying: “Simple Living and High Thinking.” Across the world we find many great persons in each field of activity who lived a very simple life, yet created history by their amazing deeds. The life of Mahatma Gandhi to Albert Einstein amply vindicates this fact. Then why a large number of people opt for a complex life leaving the simple one, knowingly or unknowingly, and in the process waste lots of time, money and energy despite knowing it pretty well that there is a  direct link between uneasy living and growing stress? Any way, it is never too late to mend. Just think over this issue and review your day’s engagements to lessen the negative ones and increase the positive engagements on a continuous basis.

Mahatma Gandhi says, “A man is but the product of his thoughts. What he thinks, he becomes.” It being so, it is always better to think positive, act straight and simple to have lesser anxiety and greater happiness.

In this age of liberalisation when everything is market driven, when information gets precedence over ideas most of the time, when machine is more important than man, it is all the more necessary to keep your life as less complicated and dependent on external factors as possible to ensure better inclusive growth for the society of which you are also an important component.

It is equally worth considering why people of India respect and treat people like Mahatma Gandhi, Jay Prakash Narayan, Baba Amte and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose as most popular and inspirational leaders despite the fact that they were not the President, Prime Minister, Vice-President, Governor, Chief Minister or Minister? It was primarily because these great men were not only extraordinary in their ideas but also in practice what they preached. Moreover, they lived a very simple, fair and transparent life all through. They always worked with positive thoughts for the good of the common man and disadvantaged section of the society.

So, live simply to enjoy the life greatly.

  1. I read your posts regularly and they resonate with me. The best things of life aren't things; we need a desire to live a simple life rich in experiences.
