Activity in life
is highly important. Of course, here activity means positive activity. It is
observed that those people who remain active are the ones who are productive in
life. This is applicable to all of us. Particularly in present times, the
employers, without any exception, search and value those employees - present
and prospective who can contribute regularly to the productivity of their
respective organisations. Naturally, in the light of this basic requirement,
the students who are going to be job seekers or professionals in the coming
days should prepare themselves suitably.
There can’t be
anything more satisfying and beneficial, if every person remains productive
starting from his student life and thereafter in different vocations in the
best possible manner. As such, it is necessary for all of us to keep ourselves
physically and mentally active for our all-round development. It is rightly
said that if your foundation is strong and your improvement process is intact,
it becomes easier to keep yourself capable and deserving to achieve the set
goals in life.
If you observe the
basic character of nature or the lifestyle of great people of the world, you
will find activity everywhere. Nobody can deny the inevitability of remaining
active to ensure successful completion of all necessary tasks or duties. Sadly
however, many people fail to lead an active life – may be knowingly or
unknowingly. They also know well that physical activity is required for keeping
them mentally healthy. And the result of this lack of activity also reflects in
their falling sick or suffering from many avoidable diseases like diabetes;
kidney/liver/heart problems.
Now, the pertinent question is what you should do to stay active on a daily basis so that it becomes your normal habit?
The well-accepted fact is that the good beginning in the morning sets the tone for a good day. You can experience it yourself. The first condition is of course to wake up early in the morning. There is a famous saying that early to bed and early to rise makes a person healthy, wealthy and wise. To say, by following this genuinely you can ensure three important things in your life – health, wealth and wisdom. Then, what exactly should you do? Yes, the first one hour after you wake up is very vital and defining. So, try to complete your internal cleaning and wash-room engagements followed by minimum 20-30 minutes of physical exercise. Then it is the time for a healthy breakfast consisting of eatables rich in protein, carbohydrate, fats, vitamins and minerals. Yes, always remember to take every meal mindfully as it has several benefits. These initial morning engagements will fill you with requisite energy to perform your day’s tasks in a far better manner.
Ironically however, it is also observed that many people leave their residence without taking breakfast, mostly on flimsy ground. Obviously, they satisfy their hunger later on mostly by taking unhealthy or junk food like Samosa, Pizza, Burger, Kurkure and other sugar/ salt rich packaged and preserved eatables or drinks. This habit of either escaping your breakfast or taking unhealthy items gradually affects your immune and metabolic system which makes you prone to falling sick off and on. Hence, it is highly desirable for such persons to keep eating a healthy breakfast at home on top of their day’s agenda.
Before leaving your
residence after a nutritious breakfast, just write down today's tasks as per
your priority incorporating the left-over tasks of yesterday, if any. This
working style will give you clarity and confidence to attend all the works
systematically. On reaching your workplace and after settling down, take up the
difficult task first followed by the routine ones. Once you finish the
difficult tasks on priority and on time, you feel good and relaxed as the
routine work can very well be taken care of by you without any hassle. After
every one hour of focused work, it is better to take a break of at least ten
minutes to refresh and re-energise yourself.
As always, I'm keen to know what you think on this subject. Hence, I request you to post your comments to share your valuable opinion. (hellomilansinha@gmail.com)
